Elected Tax Collector

The Manheim Township Tax Collector is the elected municipal officer designated to collect county and municipal real estate taxes levied under the PA First Class Township Code and the PA County Code.

All Tax Collectors in Pennsylvania are elected by the voters for 4 year terms beginning the first Monday in January following the municipal election. The Tax Collector is elected during the municipal election in a four year interval following the odd-numbered years (e.g. 2005, 2009, 2013 etc.). The Tax Collector only serves until the first Monday in January 4 years after his/her respective election. If for any reason a successor is not elected or fails to qualify, the position remains vacant until the Board of Commissioners appoints an individual to fill the vacancy.

The Manheim Township Tax Collector's office collects property taxes for the Township and County. Any persons owning property in Manheim Township receive their county/township property tax notice in February.
