What do I do when I get my real estate tax bill?
The County and Township each assess taxes on real estate, which are combined on one bill and collected on a calendar year basis. Each property owner is mailed a county and municipal tax bill by March 1st of each year. If your taxes are in escrow with your mortgage company or bank, it is your responsibility to forward a copy to them for payment. If you do not receive a bill, it is also your responsibility to contact the Tax Office, at 717/569-6408, extension 103, to receive a copy of your bill.
