This big home with awnings on the Lititz Pike was known as "Ermosa Vista" when these elegantly dressed folks were having a lawn party there in 1903. (The area where the folks are seated is now the formal gardens.)
The house was built by J. Frederick Sener, wealthy Lancaster businessman, and turned over to his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. B. Grant Stauffer, in 1921. The Stauffer's daughter Elizabeth Ludgate willed the house and its grounds to the township in 1974. The house today is known as Stauffer Mansion and, with the rest of the property, Stauffer Park. The park was the fifth public park created by the township.
