“The Manheim Township Public Library Foundation (MTPLF) is a not-for-profit (501.c.3) corporation established by the Board of Commissioners to serve two primary functions related to the Manheim Township Public Library.

With each member of the MTPLF serving ex-officio as the Township's “Library Board of Directors,” the Foundation board assumes responsibilty to oversee the affairs of the operating public library. This is accomplished by working with the Library Director and its professional and volunteer staff to develop programs, services and financial plans to meet the library’s mission and maintain compliance with the Pennsylvania Library Code.

As a "foundation" the MT Library Foundation Board is also responsible for providing coordination and specialized direction and oversight regarding private fundraising for the library and management of private donations to the Manheim Township Public Library and the appropriate use of private funds in support of the library operational and/or capital needs.
