We are one of the fastest
growing suburban townships in Lancaster County. According to 2000 census
data , our estimated population was 33,697. A variety of housing options
is available including single-family homes, duplexes, condominiums, townhomes
and apartments.
In an effort to keep residents and business owners informed on Township
news and programs, a bimonthly newsletter is distributed, and a publication
detailing programs and activities offered through our Parks & Recreation
Department is distributed quarterly. A special newsletter with details
of the Township's proposed budget is distributed in late November and
a special Parks publication with programs and swimming pool information
is distributed in late January.
Residents are invited to celebrate Community Day, an annual event held
in September on the Saturday after Labor Day. First held in 1990, events
include a parade, golf tournament, craft show and exhibits from community
organizations. Information about specific Community Day activities is
published in the township newsletter and the Parks and Recreation Department's
quarterly publication.
