Township Manager Recruitment and Hiring Process Manheim Township Commissioners announce a process to recruit and hire a new Township Manager to replace retiring manager, Jim Martin. North Group Consultants have been retained to manage the recruitment and hiring process. The process will include 3 phases:

Manheim Township imposes the Local Services Tax (LST) as provided by Pennsylvania Act 7 of 2007. The tax is $52.00 per year for persons employed in Manheim Township and is paid by payroll deduction or directly by self-employed individuals. The Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau (LCTCB) administers this tax on behalf of Manheim Township, the recipient of $42.00, and the Manheim Township School District, the recipient of $10.00 of each assessment.
Employers are required to withhold the Local Services Tax without regard to employment status or age. Minors are not exempt from this tax. Exemption from the tax is provided for individuals with a total income below $12,000. No person is required to pay more than $52.00 total each calendar year. Refunds may be requested throughout the year for duplicate payments. Exemption may be requested at the beginning of each year by completing an exemption form and submitting it to their employer and the LCTCB. Refund request forms and exemption forms are available from the Lancaster County Tax Collection Bureau at 299 Hess Boulevard or by visiting their website. Forms are also available at the Municipal Office located at 1840 Municipal Drive.

Spring is finally here and what better way to celebrate than Manheim Township’s Spring Fling Celebration, being held at the Overlook Community Campus. The day is filled with fun and rides for the kids and it’s FREE for the entire family. Test your golf skills and take a swing on our practice range, where limited range balls will be FREE from 11:00 until 3:00. Check out Overlook Falls Mini-Golf that day where mini-golf will be FREE between 11:00 and 3:00. Bring your dog and stop by the Overlook Dog Park between 11:00 and 2:00. And that’s just the beginning. Don’t miss a real treat with FREE samples of Maggie Moo’s utterly delicious ice cream. And get ready for a real brain freeze with the kids ice cream eating contest scheduled to take place at 1:00 P.M. There are also FREE goodie bags for the kids. Bring an appetite because Barny’s Grill will be selling great food throughout the day. What better way for the whole family to celebrate Spring!
