Per Pennsylvania Act 36 of 2017, Pennsylvania has moved forward with the adoption of the 2015 I-Codes. With the exception of the accessibility provisions on the building code, all 2015 I Codes, with PA specific amendments will become effective and enforceable on October 1st of 2018. The 2018 IBC Chapter 11, Appendix E and all other accessibility provisions of the 2018 IBC and the 2018 IEBC have been in effect since December 31st, 2017 and will remain in effect.
Manheim Township's adopting Ordinance for the building code is being drafted and will become effective on October 1st, 2018.
