The Lancaster County Planning Commission (LCPC) launched a new survey at places2040.com. The survey is a way of gathering input for implementing Places2040, the new plan for Lancaster County’s future. l Places2040, which is the County Comprehensive Plan, was adopted by the County Commissioners in October 2018. Places2040 consists of 5 Big Ideas (Creating Great Places, Connecting People, Places & Opportunities, Taking Care of What We Have, Growing Responsibly, & Thinking Beyond Boundaries), 26 policies and 7 strategic tools.
The survey is available at https://places2040.com/newsurvey and will be available until Tuesday, January 21, 2020. The link will take you to the launch page with buttons for each planning area (region). Manheim Township is located in the Metro Region.
This survey asks respondents to identify the Places2040 policies and tools that should be emphasized in their region. This targeted feedback will allow LCPC to develop an implementation strategy tailored to the unique opportunities and challenges in each of the regions, which LCPC call “planning areas.”
