LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday February 8, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Building 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will hold a public hearing pursuant to the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (“LERTA”). LERTA allows local municipalities to exempt from real property taxation the assessed valuation of new improvements constructed in a designated deteriorated area as a method of encouraging the redevelopment of such areas. The purpose of the hearing is for the Commissioners to determine the boundaries of a deteriorated area or areas within Manheim Township that would then qualify for the tax exemptions. Public and private agencies and individuals knowledgeable and interested in the improvement of deteriorated areas are welcome to present their recommendations or make public comments concerning the location of boundaries of a deteriorated area or areas. This meeting will be held virtually due to Covid-19 restrictions and the public should visit the Township’s website at www.manheimtownship.org about how to participate virtually or may contact the Township during regular business hours with any questions.
