Here is the link to the 2021 Leaf Collection Schedule.
Manheim Township’s Public Works Department will begin its annual leaf collection in October and continue through December, weather permitting.
The Township collects leaves from both Township and State roadways. Leaves collected on Township roadways should be raked into piles on the grass at the edge of the property adjacent to the roadway. Leaves should not be raked into the street. It is important that leaves do not block storm inlets or fire hydrants. Leaves mixed with brush or other waste including grass clippings will not be collected. Leaves bagged in biodegradable bags may be placed curbside for pickup with your loose leaves on the scheduled pickup dates. No plastic bags will be collected. Leaves collected along State roadways must be bagged in biodegradable bags. Collection along State roadways is done on a weekly basis on the scheduled pickup dates.
Please refer to the schedule on our website for dates and procedures. The schedule indicates the approximate dates when collection crews will be in your area. This schedule will vary as a result of weather conditions and the times that the leaves will actually begin to fall.
NOTE: The Township might collect leaves ahead of schedule, however, the Township will circle back and collect any additional leaves in a given area on the scheduled pickup dates. The Township will do its best to maintain this schedule. Your patience and understanding are appreciated! Any questions can be directed to Wendy Dettrey at 717-569-6406, Ext. 1129.
