[ARCHIVED] Proposed Ordinance 2021-20 Truck Traffic in Beverly Estates

Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Morgan Program Center, Manheim Township Public Library, 595 Granite Run Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will consider for enactment and may take action to enact proposed Ordinance 2021-20 the full title and text of which is as follows: ORDINANCE 2021-20. AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS TO SCHEDULE I-K RESTRICTIONS ON TRUCK TRAFFIC AT ALL TIMES WHICH ARE CONTAINED IN THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MANHEIM AT §480-69 AND REFERRED TO IN §480-18. BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as follows: SECTION 1. Schedule I-K of the Code of the Township of Manheim as amended “Code” is hereby amended to establish the following streets where operation or parking of class V or higher class trucks or truck tractors 11,001 pounds or higher with or without trailers or semitrailers shall be prohibited at all times with the exceptions permitted by §480-18 of the Code the same shall be added to those set forth in Schedule I-K of the Code and appropriate signs shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Study attached to and made a part of this Ordinance. Street: Santa Barbara Drive entire length on both sides; Highland View Drive entire length on both sides; Anne Avenue entire length on both sides; Beverly Drive entire length on both sides; Murry Hill Drive entire length on both sides. SECTION 2. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of said Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect, and the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall become effective upon enactment. Copies of Ordinance No. 2021- 20 together with any related exhibits are available for public inspection and may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Township Secretary 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in-person and virtually. Instructions for participating virtually are posted on the Township’s website (www.manheimtownship.org). The public may contact the Township during regular business hours with any questions.
