The public is invited to participate in a stream clean-up in Jaycee Park, 1026 Edgemoor Court, Lancaster, on Saturday, March 26, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. There is a rain date on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
The clean-up, hosted by the Manheim Township Sustainability Committee, is along an unnamed tributary of the Conestoga River, including a forested area of the park that has accumulated significant litter.
Families are welcome to help. Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes and long pants, and possibly get wet, and crawl through heavy brush. Please dress for the weather. There could be contact with ticks and poison ivy.
What: Public Stream Clean-up at Jaycee Park. Garbage bags and gloves will be provided.
When: Saturday, March 26th from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Rain date will be Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.
Where: Jaycee Park, 1026 Edgemoor Court. Meet at the Homeland Drive underpass at Route 30. Participants should park in the gravel driveway up against the highway.
