Manheim Township is currently seeking applications for a new, but key position, Community Development Manager. This position will be responsible for the oversight of the Planning and Zoning Department, Parks and Recreation Department, and the Department of Code Compliance.
Manheim Township is a First Class Township in Lancaster County with a growing, diverse and vibrant community of 43,812 residents. The consistent growth of this township located along the northern border of Lancaster City, has inspired and informed the leadership team that this role is not only needed, but necessary to cultivate and support Manheim Township’s continued prosperity.
The Community Development Manager will review and update the Township’s Comprehensive Plan, review current Zoning Ordinance, and will look to engage neighboring municipalities to work cooperatively to provide connectivity, and alignment with development and redevelopment both regionally and locally.
This newly created role in Manheim Township requires a forward-thinking individual who is ready to hit the ground running and possesses the can-do attitude and work ethic to lead, and also collaborate. This individual will work cooperatively with internal and external partners to advance Manheim Township’s short-term and long-term plans.
