LEGAL NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Board of Commissioners of Manheim Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Manheim Township Municipal Office, 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania the Board will consider for enactment proposed ORDINANCE 2023-2 the full title and text of which is as follows: AN ORDINANCE ADDING A SPECIAL PURPOSE PARKING ZONE TO SCHEDULE II-D WHICH IS CONTAINED IN THE CODE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MANHEIM AT § 480-75 AND IS REFERRED TO IN § 480-24; PROVIDING ADDITION TO SCHEDULE I-H OF THE TOWNSHIP CODE FOR ERECTING STOP  SIGN.

BE IT ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Township of Manheim, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, as follows: SECTION 1. Section 480-75, Schedule II-D of the Code of the Township of Manheim, as amended (“Code”), is hereby amended to establish the following parking special purpose parking zone, the same shall be added to those set forth in Schedule II-D of the Code, the appropriate signs shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Study: Street: 631 Janet Avenue. Side: East, Location: In front of 631 Janet Avenue, Authorized Purpose or Vehicle: Handicapped Parking. SECTION 2. Schedule I-H of the Code of the Township of Manheim, as amended (“Code”), which is contained at § 480-66 and referred to at § 480-15, is hereby amended to establish the following stop intersection, the same shall be added to those set forth in Schedule I-H of the Code, and the appropriate sign shall be posted as set forth in the applicable Engineering and Traffic Study. Stop Street: Barclay Drive, Intersecting Street: Barclay Drive, Direction of Travel: South.   SECTION

3. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of said Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect, and the same shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall become effective upon enactment. 

Copies of Ordinance No. 2023-2 together with any related exhibits are available for public inspection and may be examined by any citizen in the office of the Township Secretary 1840 Municipal Drive, Lancaster, Pennsylvania on regular business days between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. This meeting will be held in-person and virtually. . The public may contact the Township during regular business hours with any questions.
