Did you know that Manheim Township Public Library had more than half a million checkouts of books, media items, board games and the lawn games collection in 2022? In addition to all the free resources available every day, the library hosted 530 free programs in 2022 with 10,300 community attendees. We remain committed to our mission of being a gathering place where curious minds are nurtured and transformed. As the busiest library in Lancaster County, we are asking for your support.
Each Friday in January, you will receive a new “Did You Know?” email detailing information about the library and sharing a way that you can help support MTPL in 2023. On the final Friday of the month, we will announce the dates of our upcoming fundraising events for the year….including our Annual Book Sale!
Week 1: Financial Support
Did you know that MTPL spent $169,200 on circulated resources in 2022? Each book, media item, board game and eResource has a cost to the library, even though they are free to our patrons. A new book from your favorite author or a title we have to replace due to damage must be purchased. Financial support through campaigns like the Annual Appeal or business support through Sponsorships allow the library staff to fund the resources needed most. We would love to count you as part of our donor community with a contribution of any size. We even have several high-exposure sponsorship opportunities for local businesses and small business owners.
