The Manheim Township Board of Commissioners have announced that Manheim Township is seeking applicants for a Comprehensive Plan Committee being formed this year.
A Comprehensive Plan provides elected officials with a powerful strategic process in which to guide the future growth and development for the community.
“This is an opportunity for residents to have a voice in the future planning of Manheim Township,” said Donna DiMeo, president of the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners. “During my nine years of tenure as Commissioner, I have heard from residents their disappointment in neighborhoods and roadways being built; this is your chance to get involved and help make changes.”
Manheim Township expects to update the Comprehensive Plan and is seeking volunteers to assist and provide insight. The current Manheim Township Comprehensive Plan was adopted in March of 2010.
“The Comprehensive Plan is a very important tool that our elected officials will use to guide the future of Manheim Township,” said Township Manager Rick Kane. “Resident input is a critical key to developing a plan that will benefit all residents of the Township and guide future growth and services that are provided by the Township. We urge interested residents to take advantage of this opportunity to help guide Manheim Township forward into the future by applying to serve on this committee.”
Through the process, issues and opportunities facing the community will be assessed and recommendations formulated to achieve community goals. This is an appointed position reviewed and approved by the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners.
Interested Manheim Township residents are encouraged to fill out an application and submit before January 31st. - https://bit.ly/mMT-CPC-2023
