Did you know that Manheim Township Public Library had more than half a million checkouts of books, media items, board games and the lawn games collection in 2022? In addition to all the free resources available every day, the library hosted 530 free programs in 2022 with 10,300 community attendees. We remain committed to our mission of being a gathering place where curious minds are nurtured and transformed. As the busiest library in Lancaster County, we are asking for your support.
Each week in January, you have received a new “Did You Know?” email detailing information about the library and sharing a way that you can help support MTPL in 2023. Here’s the grand finale…
Week 4: Upcoming Events and Fundraising Endeavors
Love Your Library Month: For the entire month of February we celebrate all the reasons we Love the Library!!! Adopt books with special LYL bookplates, fill out an LYL heart, pick up a free book, drop your change in our special LYL donation box, round up your Book Spot donation and purchase a Manheim Township Public Library t-shirt!
Book Buzz: From April 14 -22 we expand the MTPL Book Spot and fill one of our conference rooms with carts full of BOOKS! The books are all available to take home for a suggested donation, just like the Book Spot. This is a great opportunity to stock up on spring and summer reads!
2nd Annual Pop-Up Silent Auction: We are excited to announce that the Pop-Up Silent Auction is back for a second year! June 19 – noon on July 1 we will display many baskets and bundles filled by local business, artisans, and entrepreneurs for bidding. Each basket or bundle will be paired with at least one book. If you would like to support this event as a local business or artisan, please email email@example.com. We are excited to once again offer an event that gives such great exposure to the Manheim Township business community!
Summer Reading Celebration: After a busy summer accomplishing all our reading goals, August 12 is our time to celebrate! Special programs and performances, special guest appearances, scavenger hunts, prizes, food and MORE make up our Summer Reading Celebration event. A schedule of events and a list of all performers will be available in July.
Annual Book Sale: Join us at the Overlook Activities Center for our Annual Book Sale September 12 – 14! Visit our information page for the most up-to-date information. @MTPLBookSale on Facebook will also provide information and fun opportunities leading up to the sale!
