Manheim Township, along with East Cocalico Township, Lititz, Mount Joy, Warwick Township, and West Lampeter Township, will participate in a stormwater audit program that will evaluate the effectiveness of the Township's current stormwater management program. The Lancaster County Clean Water Consortium received a $150,000 federal grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation's Local Government Green Infrastructure Initiative. The Environmental Finance Center at the University of Maryland will conduct the audit. The audit will look at current policies and will provide guidance on how the Township should implement future practices that will benefit the Chesapeake Bay cleanup efforts. Reviews of the Township's Capital Stormwater Budget and Ordinances will be a part of the audit. Public comment will be solicited during future meetings.
