In early 2013, the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners adopted a revised codified ordinance for the Township. The Manheim Township Code of Ordinances (The Code) contains all of the administrative and regulatory laws of the Township.
In years past, the Township SALDO, Zoning, and Flood Plain ordinances were not codified for various reasons. However, in 2013, this changed with the entire set of planning and development related ordinances now codified, except the Storm Water Management Ordinance. The SWM Ordinance is currently being updated and will be included in the codified ordinance when adopted by the Board of Commissioners later in 2013.
Because of the new codification system, the Planning & Zoning Department will also transition from the traditional separate ordinance books series into the electronically codified version in the new code. This process is underway now and is expected to be complete by the end of 2013.
If you currently have a traditional ordinance with updated materials, it will become obsolete by the end of the year and you will need to purchase new documents, or take advantage of the digital products and services available in the newly modernized Code. Use the link below or click on the "Quick Link" on the Planning and Zoning Department's page to access the online Code at your leisure.
If you are currently an ordinance subscriber who receives ordinance updates, this service will not be necessary and terminated at the end of the year.
