Hosting a Community/Special Event

Hosting an event such as a 5K run, bicycle race, fair, festival or show?

Complete the Community/Special Event Review Online Application.

All applications must be received at least forty-five days (45) business days before the scheduled date of the event. An incomplete application or an application submitted less than forty-five (45) days before the event will be denied review.

The Manheim Township Police Department will review the application and will work with the event coordinator/sponsor to develop and implement an operational and/or safety plan. This may include, but is not limited to, police coverage during the event, barricades for traffic/pedestrian control.

If the community/special event involves the closure of a public street, a Street Closure Request Form will also be required.  If the event includes a commercial fireworks display, a Fire Permit is required.

If you are hosting a neighborhood block party where members of a single neighborhood gather together, Manheim Township requires a completed and approved Block Party Application for any neighborhood block parties on Township streets and right-of-way.

For more information contact the Manheim Township Administration Department at 717-569-6408 ext. 1108 or email specialevent@manheimtownship.org.
