OVERLOOK GOLF COURSE
Overlook is seeking organizations that are looking for a unique advertising opportunity. The golf course has beautiful granite signs, which stand five feet in height and display yardages as well as a layout for each hole engraved on the face. Also on the face of the sign is an opportunity to have your organization’s logo or slogan placed on the sign to be seen annually by over 30,000 diversified golfers. Limited advertisements are available and holes number two through 18 will be obtainable for a fee of $1,500 for a three-year commitment. That’s only $500.00 per year for advertising that could be seen by thousands of potential clients or customers. Also included in this advertising package will be 12 rounds of golf each year at Overlook that you can pass along to your clients or customers or use yourself, valued at over $300 a year. To reserve your granite tee sign, or for additional information, email Ken Ord or call 717-569-9551, extension 4.
ADOPT-A-ROAD PROGRAM
Manheim Township adoption programs are community service programs whereby local groups and organizations adopt Township roadways or streams and keep them clean. The Adopt-A-Road program reinforces Manheim Township’s litter pick-up efforts by involving citizens from the community. The program serves as an educational tool to make people aware of the litter problem and serves to provide clean, well cared for streets throughout the Township. The program allows groups or individuals to become special “caretakers” of portions of Township roadways. Groups must pick up litter two times a year. The agreement runs for two years and will renew automatically unless either party chooses to terminate it. Manheim Township will post two signs, one in each direction, naming the adopting group or individual on the adopted portion of the road. Any civic-minded group or individuals may participate, with the exception of those representing elected officials or candidates for public office. Interested groups or individuals are asked to call Manheim Township Public Works at 717-569-6406 ext. 1129, or email, for additional information or to participate in this program.
