Planning and Zoning Permit Portal

Applying for a Zoning Permit & Other Zoning Related Permits

  1. IN PERSON: Make Application for Zoning Permits in person at our office M-F 7:30am - 4:30pm
  2. VIA PERMIT PORTAL: File applications via our Permit Portal.  Click on Permit Portal link above to sign up for and use the Permit Portal. The Permit Portal supports several zoning permit types.
  3. VIA FIRST CLASS MAIL: File applications via mail:
    • Complete the fillable permit application found in the left margin link named "Permit Applications". Permit Applications require digital signature or original signature.
    • Submit two (2) copies of plans and specifications along with the Permit Application.
    • Two (2) sets of hard copy original plans and site plans are to be submitted via First Class Mail or dropped at the Municipal Office c/o Planning and Zoning.

Application Types Supported in Portal:

  1. Zoning Permits: Permits for Sheds, Decks, Patios, Driveways, Walkways/Sidewalks, Chickens and any other structure or use that is determined to need a review by the Zoning Officer.
  2. Zoning Hearing Board: Zoning Hearing Board applications can be submitted and paid for through the portal. You will still need to submit 11 copies of the full application packets to the Planning and Zoning Department by the deadline.
  3. Minor/Major Home Occupation: Major home occupations will require going before the Zoning Hearing Board for a Special Exception.
  4. Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU): The ADU is required to go before the Zoning Hearing Board for a Special Exception. The ADU is required to permit on a temporary basis, a second dwelling unit within an existing dwelling, as part of a proposed addition to the dwelling or above a detached garage. This ADU will permit the second dwelling unit when all Zoning Ordinance requirements are met.
